Harassment patterns and risk profile in Spanish trans person

This article describes the harassment patterns and the risk profile in trans people living in Spain. A sample of 212 trans persons, aged 10-62, participated in this cross-sectional study. Results showed a high percentage of harassment (59.9%) and frequency of daily harassment (12.6%), especially verbal attacks (59%) that occurred in public spaces (49.1%) and within educational contexts (46.2%). Harassment is more prevalent in trans women than men. Those who disclose their gender identities at a younger age experience higher percentages and frequency of harassment than those who disclose at an older age. Kansainvälisten tutkimusten pohjalta tiedämme, että yleisesti ottaen naiset joutuvat miehiä enemmän häirityiksi urheilu- ja liikuntasektorilla. Tutkimukset ovat pääsääntöisesti kohdistuneet tyttöihin ja naisiin. Ainoastaan muutamat tutkimukset ovat tarkastelleet urheilua ja liikuntaa harrastavien miesten kokemuksia seksuaalisesta häirinnästä. Harrasteliikunnan ja kilpaurheilun puolella sukupuoleen perustuvan ja seksuaalisen häirinnän tutkimus on Suomessa vasta alkutaipaleella. Though the proclivity of sexual-related harassments in African journalism is high, the rates of reporting of these incidences and empirical studies are low. Using a gendered approach, the study presents and exploratory inquiry into the lived experiences and impressions of Ghanaian female journalists about incidences of sexual harassments. Purpose: To examine the 12-months prevalence and 12-months prospective change in reported sexual harassment and abuse (SHA)-victimization among young elite athletes, recreational athletes, and reference students in three different social settings and identify the perpetrators. Little is known about online victimization of Spanish adolescents. The present study aims to determine the past-year prevalence of online victimization in a community sample of Spanish adolescents. Foucault has been quoted as a great intellectual contributor to feminism and education, despite his defense of decriminalizing rape and pederasty. Since the MeToo movement, there is an increasing criticism of Foucault’s persona and works. However, in order to avoid recognizing their mistake, some authors say that Foucault’s defense of sexual violence was unknown before. This article shows this is not backed by evidence.
